Mercury enters Virgo

Tonight, August 4th Mercury ventures out of Leo and enters Virgo, it’s natural home- full of planetary strength (it’s domicile & exaltation). Mercury will reside in Virgo until August 26th.

Bring the bold, creative ideas that you developed while Mercury was moving through Leo.

It’s now time to test these concepts for efficiency and practicality, ensure they meet the stringent Virgo criteria.

It’s a great time to do the sums, or test the market to make sure your big dreams are viable and grounded in reality.

Mercury connects with the rational and analytical mind, banking, communications, learning, education, travel, knowledge, writing, handiwork, tinkering and esoteric pursuits.

These subjects are supported with Mercury’s movement through Virgo.

The planet has been going through tough territory recently with hard aspects to malefic planets, Mars, Uranus and Saturn.

It’s now free from restraint and inflammation, so communications will be less flared and more rational.

Cleaning up all the glitter after Mercury’s visit through Leo!

Mercury is also clear of the Sun beams and not experiencing combustion, meaning our thoughts are sharp and clear.

It’s a great time to do analysis, or get your hands dirty in the garden, clean up or fix something that’s broken.

Your home environment reflects your mental state, so keep it clean and score the mind benefits.

If you have been wanting to do a course, take a short trip or to do some writing, go for it!

Beware of overthinking though and allowing the little things overwhelm your inner peace.

Journal, create, mend, meditate to anchor the mind.

Things may get a bit wonky towards the later part of the month.

On the 21st of Aug Mercury opposes Neptune in Pisces.

This planetary opposition may add confusion to projects, communications or ideas. It’s a good time to dream, but don’t put your ideas into action until clarity returns (give it a few days).

There may be a desire to take a mental vacation and dissolve from responsibilities for a while. Rest is a good idea around this time. The following day, on the 22nd, Mercury trines Pluto. Look at this as a good time to separate what stays with what goes. The Moon will be waning too, so purge what doesn’t meet the grade, press delete, edit and trim your work.
