Full Moon in pisces
Full Moon in Pisces 10th September
7:58pm AEST, 10:57am BST, 6:57pm UTC (9th September)
+ Mercury Stations Retrograde the same day.
Welcome to this liminal and wonky Full Moon in Pisces, with Mercury stationing retrograde on the same day!
Pisces is a mutable water sign ruled by Jupiter and generally encourages us to soften and find a sense of connection to all that is. This month, the Moon desires this gentle surrender, but finds itself besieged (under pressure) between Mars, Uranus and Neptune.
This Full Moon may feel a bit confusing, a double-edged sword. Sharp on one hand, there’s a need to trim and adapt to bring a dream to life. Then on the other, it is about connecting to the feeling, finding healing, and trusting in the universal plan.
To create something, manifestation needs to engage the mind, heart and action in the real world. This is the bridge between Pisces and Virgo, the big vision with a practical action plan. Pie in the sky dreams without grounding is nothing but a good way to scatter your energy.
Be adaptable to change and open to reflection. The energy can feel charged, variable and diffuse all at once.
Change is waiting in the wings, but it needs space to enter. It happens through decisive and sometimes difficult choices, expressed as the Moon moves from Mars toward Uranus. When the Moon merges with Neptune, you could feel a deep sense of peace and connection. Especially if you have made the necessary changes that align your dreams and actions to what your soul desires. Others might feel spaced out, lost or emotional during this watery time.
If you have been avoidant, mean or dishonest, this Full Moon could shine a light on a loss of connection to self, or integrity. If you feel agitated and notice yourself trying to escape and numb the pain, know that you probably just missed the important step of doing the necessary clearing.
The Full Moon is under the rulership of Jupiter who is currently in Aries retrograde. We are in the process of reassessing the ways we access meaning in our lives and our connection to the cosmos. Jupiter in a Mars ruled sign reminds us that ‘pruning’ is an essential part of establishing a clear connection with the divine.
Jupiter is in aversion to the Moon (they are in signs that form no aspect), so Jupiter struggles to manage what arises this Pisces Full Moon. It may be difficult to find the meaning in all this, or you could feel like you are underwater, enmeshed in the universe of unlimited possibilities.
The sky is bright, illuminating emotion and sensitivity. Avoid drama and don’t let something minor become hyperbolic.
With Mercury retrograde opposite Jupiter and the Moon with foggy Neptune, you may be unsure about things or feel slow and reflective. It’s okay to stay quiet and introspective. If you are highly sensitive to the energy of other people or struggle with boundaries, just relax alone or with your nearest and dearest.
In the backdrop of this Full Moon, Jupiter is opposite Mercury retrograde. You may find yourself seeing a situation differently or notice you have ideas coming through about how to make improvements. Not everyone will see eye to eye and a situation may arise where two people do not share the same vision and find it hard to reach an agreement.
This Full Moon is a good time to visualise what you want and be open to change as a constant.
Stay clear, ethical and respectful in your dealings and use your words wisely. Do not inflate the ‘truth’.
This Moon makes me think about actors and the notion of fantasy, it’s opposite sign Virgo speaks about practical realities. Find balance and don’t lose yourself by melting too far into the fabric of the cosmos.
Mutable signs are highlighted, go with the flow, meet any energy shifts with grace.
Be mindful of leaning into the slippery side of Pisces, blurring boundaries, overindulging or telling tall tales.
Have a bath, play a song, cry and feel whatever arises… reach out to someone you love if you need a cuddle!
